By way of introduction, I am taking the exciting step of studying a Geography PGCE at Leicester University, starting in September.
This blog will be used by me to develop my knowledge of my ‘weaker subject’ areas. It will, I hope allow me to interact with others in the group.
I completed the Subject Knowledge Audit provided by the course team a week ago. I have found that I need to develop my physical geography subject knowledge more than human geography. I intend to complete the audit again at the beginning of September to see how my knowledge has improved.
I will consider a number subjects in the following order:
Weather and climate
Riparian Environments
Extreme landscapes
Tectonics (general)
Skills; map work, GIS etc
So, I intend to have a bit of fun investigating, creating and learning through the summer. I hope that you do too!
